Champorado is one of my favorite treat for breakfast. The other day, I decided to cook some leftover rice and make it into champorado. It is simply chocolate rice pudding. Leftover is cooked with lots of water then added with cocoa until it becomes thick. When its done, it is ready to be served and eaten.
Chocolate rice pudding
I love to put milk in my champorado and pair it with meatloaf/beefloaf. Fried dried fish is also good to pair with the chocolate rice pudding, but I prefer to pair it with the meatloaf. I also add up some sugar to sweeten it or sometimes, to make it more chocolatey, I add some ready-to-drink chocolate to it.
This is perfect for breakfast and for snacks too. When I want to go on a diet, I usually have this because it’s light and fills me up easily. For a rainy day, this is also a perfect treat.
